Layouts From Today

These are three LOs I did today for my Daughters scrapbook. Posted by Picasa

Tuesday's Blogger Challange from 2Peas

If you got to have dinner with anyone you want, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you talk about?

This is a great question and one I've thought about many times.

My choice would be Princess Diana. I have always admired her for her passion, humanity and her kindness in general. I would love to talk with her about normal everyday things. Her family, what it was like living inside the Royal Family, world events, what her favorite things were. Music, Books, places to travel.

Here's the rest. I've now got 40 pages done since Feb!! Posted by Picasa

Layouts done tonight

These layouts were done tonight and I really scrapped simple. Not alot of embellishments but I like how they turned out. Posted by Picasa

Happy Monday

I'm ready to scrap tonight. Didn't get to srap much this weekend other than Friday night and even that wasn't much. Will post photos later tonight on my finished pages.

Monday Blogger Challange for 2 Peas

Do you want to convert your real life non-scrapper friend into scrapbookers?
Absolutely! I would love all my friend to scrap and encourage them to preserve their memories!!

Do you find friends that scrapbooks? If so, how? Yes, I've made friends with ladies that scrap that I've met throught my CMC.

Do you show your pages to someone who doesn't scrapbook? Yes, all the time! I show them off to friend that come visit, and my family.

Do you think you avoid topic about scrapbooking because your non-scrapper friend just don't get it? No, I talk about scrapping even to those people I'm close to that don't scrap. They can see my passion in scrapping and they enjoy looking at my pages. I've recently motivated two of my friends that weren't scrappers to start scrapping! They are excited about it and we've just started scrapping together!

Friday 3/24 Photos of the Day

This is my niece Adele playing with my neighbor Logan. Adele spent a few days with me on Sprin Break and had a ball playing with Logan and his brother.

Just love it when I get to spend time with her. I even taught her to scrap while she was here. She had a blast!

Need Help with This Layout

I Love it so far.. but it just needs something else. I posted at 2Peas and I've gotten some great ideas...

Like chalk the letter K. Add more journaling down at the bottom. Add a HS flower..

Unfortunately, I have secured everything to the page so I can't move anything around.

Any ideas on how I can finish this page? Posted by Picasa

2 Peas Blogger Challange

Challenge: List the things you dream about doing during the last few years of your life. This is a very introspective subject. Take your time. Think.. if you live to a ripe old age, what do you dream of?? that you would be doing during your final years?? Taking into acct, that your health etc would be just fine!

When I am a ripe old age...

  • I dream of traveling to places I've never been.
  • Would like to tour the USA in a motor home.
  • I'd love to have a winter home in Florida and a summer home in the mountains of Tennessee or North Carolina.
  • I want to spoil my grandkids.
  • live life to the fullest.

Wednesday 3/22

I've been reading Nora Griffin's blog regarding her adoption and it's breaking my heart! Prayers are being sent up for Nora, her family, Roxana and Darby. I pray Nora and Sean will have Darby back in their arms here shortly! Have Faith!!

Last night I worked on my Circle Journal for my 2peas CJ group. This is my first attempt at a CJ and it's fun and frustrating at the same time. My theme is "Our Hometowns: Places to Visit and Fascinating Facts"... since I love to travel, I thought this would be a good way to see different places. You never know.. I may just end up visiting there!

I've posted a few of my layouts from this weekend... Hope you like!

Challenge: This one is all about PROCRASTINATION. What do you wait for the very last minute, to do??? Do you do this often? Can you figure out why? Have you always been this way? Does it drive other members of your family/friends crazy?

Gosh.. this is a hard question. I don't procrastinate with many things...except telling my husband something that I know will make him mad.

I don't do this often at all luckily. I've always been a procrastinator when it comes to delivering bad news.. especially when I was in high school and had to tell my parents of a bad grade etc.

Yes, it drives my hubby crazy that I wait till the last possible minute to tell him bad news and I know it made my parents made too. Still I can't break myself of the habit! LOL

Monday Blogger Challange for 2 Peas

Today's challenge is all about COLLECTIONS.

What do you collect? I collect Unicorns.
How long have you been collecting? When I was 16 my best friend gave me one for my birthday. That started the collection and I have over 50 different unicorns in my collection now.
Do you display your collections? I have my most expensive ones displayed in a curio cabinet. Others are in my bedroom, and on shelfs and display cabinets around the house.
What does your collection/collections mean to you? to others? I love my collection, but honestly I haven't really bought or received any new ones for my collection in several years. Each one has a sentimental value, a memory of where I bought it or who gave it to me.
Where do you shop to look for additions to your collections? When I was actively buying them, I would try to buy them in places I traveled to.. like Germany, England etc. Gift shops, etc.

Saturday 3/18 -Day on the Boat...

This is the island we went to on our boat. Paradise Island in Tampa Bay. Lots of people had the same idea! It was a beautiful day!
This a Carnival Cruise Ship that was leaving port as we were anchored at Paradise Island. We actually saw 3 different cruise ships pass us while we were on the boat.
This is my hubby driving the boat.
A beautful sunset! The day was great, couldn't have asked for nicer weather or nicer people to go boating with!

Friday, March 17- Cropping at Ruban Rouge

I had a very productive night at Ruban Rouge! Their store is AMAZING!! OMG I'm in love..
I also found out Elsie Flanigan will be there in May for classes.. I am soooooo signing up!

I got 7 pages done at the crop and my friend April got 7 done as well. She's really behind on her scrapping since she has a 2 year old. Doesn't leave her much time to scrap. She's coming over this Friday Night and I'm having a CM class here that she'll be doing.

Friday's Blog Challange

List your personal mottos or inspired words you choose to live your life by. List as many as come to mind to you..... Great challange! There are so many I could name...

1. Life is not about the number of breathes we take, but the moments that take our breathe away.
2. What's gained from a book is knowledge, what's gained from the heart is wisdom.
3. Lyrics from "The River"-Garth Brooks... So don't you sit upon the shoreline and say your satisfied, choose the chance the rapids and dare to dance the tide.
4. Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting.
5. Worry is like a rocking chair, it gets you going but doesn't get you anywhere.

Layout #2 Page 1

I had fun doing this layout! These photos are some of my favorites taken of my daughter and her friends last year. I love the colors; Unfortunately, the photos of the layout don't do it justice! The PP came from a Flavia kit that I bought on QVC. The journaling reads: Climbing trees, acting silly, hanging out at the park and always asking Mom to take pictures of you all together; that's how the last few weeks before CJ left for Marine Corp Boot Camp were spent! Kevin, Kristina, Samantha, Allyson and Cedric..Best Buds! These photos show how much fun you all had together. Friends are the flowers in the garden of life. Posted by Picasa

This is the last one I did tonight. I love these photos of my hubby and son together. The stickers are AMM and they say:

* Life doesn't come with an instruction book, that's why we have fathers.

* A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there but a guiding light to show us the way.

Tuesday's Blogger Challange from 2Peas

What was the last thing you won??? Please describe what you won, and the circumstances/situation around your win. Share what you'd like.

Gosh.. I really have to think about this one. The last thing I can remember winning is radio station contest for concert tickets to see Hank Williams Jr. back in 1990!

I don't know why I dialed in to win, I'm not that crazy about him.. but hey.. the tickets were pretty close.. 3rd row and I'd never seen him before. It ended up being a great concert!

Monday Blogger Challange for 2 Peas

All about Blogging!
1. What time of year do you blog the most?
Since I just started my blog at the beginning of February, I've kept up with it pretty much every day. There's a few days I've missed, but so far I've kept consistant.
2. What time of year do you seem to blog the least?
Can't answer this.. since I've only had it a couple months.
3. What time of DAY do you do your most blogging?
I usually blog late at night, when I'm winding down the day and need to put my thoughts together. Sometimes I blog in the mornings, but it's usually at night.
4. When blog-hopping, do you tend to look at your blogroll list (or fave blogs) to see which ones have been updated, or do you visit your faves on a regular basis regardless?
I view all my favorite blogs daily. Go down the list and read the new entries.
5. Do you change your blogroll often? No.
6. How many times a day, after writing a new post, do you check for new comments?
Several. If I've posted a challange or posted a layout I look for comments every couple hours!
7. Do you leave comments on others' blogs, or are you more of a lurker?
It depends on who it is... Some people I comment if I know them or have had contact with them, other's I dont. If the post is something really moving I will comment regardless.

Sunday Blogger Challange from 2Peas

Challenge: Answer the following question: What is something that you do, or say, that when you are done you realize that you are just like your mother?

This is good challange. I realize I am more like my mother every day. It's things I say and things I do.

Things I say:

If I have to tell you one more time to ______________, your going to regret it.
My mom always says " You've gotta be kidding me". I catch myself saying this ALL the time.

Things I do:

I organize my kitchen and my linen closets just like my mom.
I fold towels like my mom.
There are so many things I do like my mom I can't even think of them all. My kids and hubby are constantly reminding me how much I am like my mother.

Susan from 2Peas was kind enough to create my banner!

Thanks a million!!!

Wednesday Blogger Challange - 2Peas

Challenge: 3 Questions:

1. Would you rather wake up and find you can ONLY tell the absolute truth OR only lies? Explain your answer if you wanna. I would want to wake up and only be able to tell the truth. Even if the truth hurts. I'd rather be an honest person than have people not trust me because I lie.

2. Would you go out to dinner with a convicted serial killer OR American Idol judge Simon Cowell? Elaborate if you wanna. Definately choose dinner with Simon Cowell. Even though he's crass and obnoxious, I would'nt have a problem conversing with him. Eating with a serial killer is just simply not an option for me.

3. Would you gargle with mint listerine mouthwash before every meal OR lick a lime before every bite? I'd choose to gargle with the mint listerine. I don't think I could lick a lime before every bite. Too much work!

Monday Blogger Challange for 2 Peas

Challenge: List the top 5 locations/places you would love TO LIVE in the world today, if you had the chance. Elaborate if you wanna.. why these places??? Use as much detail as you would like.

1. Germany- I absolutely love Germany. My mother was born and raised there so I am lucky enough to get to go and visit. The last time I was there was in 2000. Haven't been back since 9/11. I love the beauty of this country, the food, the culture and the people.

2. Nashville, Tennesse- This is my favorite place in the US to visit. I have a dear friend that lives in Music City and I love country music. I would love to be able to enjoy all the country music happenings that city has to offer. The scenery is beautiful, mountains and trees.. so different from Florida.

3. North Carolina- another place I'd love to live because of the beauty, peacefulness and friendly people.

4. New Symrna Beach, Florida- This is my favorite vacation spot. I'd love to have a home on the beach. I love the ocean, love to watch the sunrise on the horizon and love listening to the calming sounds of the waves crashing on the shore.

5. Portland, Oregon- I've always heard it's a wonderful place to live. If I had to choose a place on the West Coast I'd choose Portland. My cousin just moved there, so atleast I'd know someone!
