Successful Scrapping Weeking!

I had a great weekend scrapping! I posted the photos of the layouts I finished below and have started my next LO.

I experimented with the flowers and brads. Used my foam and rubber stamps and used one LO with ribbon. I'm not crazy about that LO. Have to play around more with using the ribbon.

Here's Michelle's Blogger Challange for Sunday:

We all love our family. But... There's always something they do that annoys you. What's on your list?

Let's see... without going overboard, because I could list a top 10 things that annoy me for my DH, DS and DD.... I'll just list one for each!

Husband- we have a dry erase bulletin board in the kitchen. EVERY SINGLE DAY he writes a chore list of things to do for each of us.. me, my son and my daughter. It drives me nutts! WE already know what we need to do! UGH!!

Son- Leaves his dirty clothes in the bathroom on the floor.

Daughter- She never closes the bread back up with the twist tie. She just spins and tucks the plastic under! Drives me batty!

Saturday Night Crop!

Just got home about 20 minutes ago from my crop session at April's. I had a lot of fun and finished 4 layouts!!!

I am really happy with one I did for my daughter's first trip to New York City. I want to add a couple of flowers to the page and then it's done! The colors I used are awesome! I even tried my new stamps out tonight and used it on the page.

I'm pooped so I'm heading to bed... will take pictures of my LO's tomorrow and post them!

Night!!

Friday 2/24 2Peas Blogger Challange

Today's challange is to tell everyone something about myself.

* I am addicted to Little Debbie Devil Squares
* I LOVE Candles... used to sell PartyLite. Still love the product they are the best!
* Brighton is another passion of mine. I love their purses, belts and jewelry
* Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I'm taking my daughter to New York City for a girls weekend for her 16th Birthday at the beginning of April. She loves NYC and all the buildings and architecture there.
* I collect unicorns and ladybugs

Today was a busy day at work... very stressful. I ended the day by going to Michaels and JoAnn's to check out there scrapping stuff. Bought a set of alphabet stamps at Michaels. Went to Joann's next and found they have a MUCH BIGGER and BETTER selection of scrapping supplies. And their prices were cheaper! UGH! Oh well.. live and learn.

Getting very excited about the crop night I'm attending tomorrow night at my friend April's house. She's a CM consultant and in starting back up with her regular crops. She has a baby and slowed down quite a bit after Gabriella was born.

Thursday's Blog Challange -Random Questions

1. How did you get into scrapbooking?
About 2 years ago, my girlfriend who is a CM consultant asked me to host a crop for her. I did, purchased tons of stuff, and never really took off with scrapping. Fast forward to January of this year.. I looked at the all scrapping stuff I bought that was just sitting there collecting dust and decided it was time to get busy! Now, I'm feverishly excited about getting my albums done!

2. How do you define your style?
Definately don't have a style yet.. I love reading through magazines and searching the albums online of other scrappers to get ideas.

3. Do you like scrapbooking with other people?
Yes!! I just wish I could find more people close to me to scrap with. My CMC friend lives 45 miles away!

4. Do you have friends that scrapbook with you?
Yes and No, I'm going to a crop this weekend, but unfortunately I don't have friends close by to crop with more regularly.

5. Do you ever scrapbook about yourself?
I haven't yet, but definately will.

6. Do you scraplift? If yes/no, why?
Haven't yet, but I plan to..

7. Do you stamp in your scrapbook pages?
Not yet, but I'm looking into getting a set of Alpha Stamps.

My Layout

I still have alot to learn. Not real happy with this one.. the picture on the right corner is crooked and it just is lacking something. Posted by Picasa

I got two of my items from QVC today. Both scrapbook kits came and I love them both!
Talked to April ( she's my CM consultant and good friend) about Saturday's crop. I can't wait.
I had about 200 digital photos developed at CVS through my Kodakgallery.com site and picked those up today. I can't wait to scrap some of them! Especially my sunrise photos from the beach.

BonnieRose's Blogger Challange 2/22/06

Name 10 Things you could not possibly live without.

Wow.. this is going to be a fun one:

1. God and my faith.
2. My daughter's smile and wonderful sense of humor. She always makes me laugh and knows how to cheer me up when things are getting me down.
3. Camera- I love to take pictures and cherish the memories the photos represent.
4. Computer- I am so addicted to the computer. Everything I do is on the computer.
5. Music- I love listening to music. Country especially but I do love all kinds.. music lifts me up, makes me smile and inspires me.
6. Sweets- icecream, cakes, pies, you name it.. I love desserts! I don't eat them everyday, but don't take them away from me!
7. Books- I Love to Read.. Romance Novels, anything Nicolas Sparks, Debbie MacComber, Nora Roberts, John Grisham and any books about Princess Diana.
8. Flip Flops or Sandals- hate closed toes shoes! Only wear them in winter and that's not much here in Florida.
9. Nature- I love the outdoors, flowers, trees, the sky and clouds are one of my favorite things to photograph.
10. Cordless phones or Cell Phones- Can you imagine not being able to walk around the house when you have that hour long conversation with Mom or your bestfriend?

Good Day Scrapping...

I finished a layout today! I'm so happy. I will take a photo and post it here tomorrow. My batteries are dead in the digital and I had to buy new ones today.

I went to Walmart tonight and bought quite a few scrapping things. Paper, and organizer to put all the paper in, a sticker organizer and three new magazines!

Now for Michelle's Blogger Challange 2/21....

If you were famous and they want to make a movie of your life. Unlimited budget of course. Who will portray you? Who will portray as the ones who play a keyrole in your own life? What types of movie will it be? Will it be a tear-jerker? A chick flick? A romantic comedy? A afterschool special? (with meaning and stuff. LOL)

My life movie would be a romantic comedy. Sandra Bullock would play me and Matthew McConneghy would play my husband. It would be a funny, sad, and have lots of drama in it just like my real life!

QVC IS DANGEROUS!!

OMG.. I had so much fun watching the scrapping specials this weekend! I spent way too much money but I just can't wait to get my items! I am going to a crop this weekend and I'm really looking forward to finishing some pages!

Here's what I bought:

2000 peice scrapbooking and papercrafting kit with keepsake box
Herbanella 129 peice die cut sticker set
Flavia Design Scrapbooking Kit with 2 albums
Sue Zipkin 448 peice kit with paper, tags, borders and alphabet

Were you bad like me??? What did you buy?

Sunday Blogger Challange from 2Peas

Alrighty, today's random challenge is "What would you do?"

What would you do if you won a million dollars?
I would invest part of it for my family's future, give a portion to charity and buy each person in my immediate family something they would love to have.
What would you do if you have no children? (for those who doesn't, just think reverse)
I would spend more time travelling to places I've never been.
What would you do if you are the president of the United States?
Gosh.. that's a hard question. Work on making our country a better place instead of investing million of dollars to help other countries.
What would you do if you skip a meal?
I often skip meals, just because I'm too busy to eat.
What would you do if you are in your ideal weight? (let's face it, who ever is?)
Buy a totally new wardrobe!
What would you do if you could meet anyone you want and who would that be?
I would want to meet Princess Diana and my dream would be to spend a day with her on a secluded island, sipping fruity drinks on the beach and talking non-stop.
What would you do if you are famous?
I would try to make this world a peaceful place.
What would you do if you are a "scrapbooking celebrity"?
I would travel the world teaching others, meeting great people.
What would you do if you could change anything in the world?
I would end racism and predjudice.
What would you do if you don't scrapbook? try photography as a profession.

I'm Back..........

OMG.. I've had a super busy week! I haven't blogged for over a week and further more haven't scrapped either!! I'm going to scrap some one Sunday.

My trip to Nashville was great. I got to see snow! That was exciting for a Florida girl!

Trisha's concert was outstanding. Hearing her sing with an orchestra was totally awesome. Her voice was amazing and her version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow left me with goosebumps.

As soon as I upload my photos I'll post a few here.

I've got alot of catching up to do on the message boards. Don't forget the QVC scrapping special tonight!

Nashville... Here I come...

Friday Morning I'm heading to Nashville to see Trisha in concert at the Opry. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a Garth siting... This is a photo of them tonight at the Grammy's. Trisha looks beautiful!

Some of you are probably wondering what my fascination is with Garth. Well.. I've been a fan of his from Day ONE. In 1998 when he was doing his last world tour, I start surfing the internet for Garth related info and found this website www.planetgarth.com Well, a year later, the website owner asked me to take over the forums (message board). Through my affiliation with planetgarth, I've had the opportunity to meet Garth and become friends with him. He's the most awesome, genuine, humble person you'll ever meet. I swear I'm not a groupie or a stalker. If you are a Garth fan, check out the site and join us in the forums at www.planetgarth.com/forums we'd love to have you!

Garth's new album- The Lost Sessions is available now at Walmart! 17 new songs previously recorded and they are all awesome. I'm totally loving this new CD.
Meet Me In Love is one of my favorites and his re-make of "Fishin In The Dark" is unbelievable.

I'm going to hang out for the weekend with the girls in Nashville. Friday Night we're going to the Blue Bird. I think we're doing the Hall of Fame on Saturday and who knows what on Sunday.

Can't wait to see Joyce! She's my best bud who lives in Nashville and is an executive producer for XM Satelite radio Highway 16. She has a great blog where she keeps us all up to date on her country music gossip and happenings in Music city. Check out the link below if you're a country music fan.

Well enough rambling... going to bed. Sweet dreams everyone!

Blogger Challange: 10 Things That Bug Me

SB Journaling Blog Challenge (2Peas) 2.07.06
10 Things That Bug Me.
List 10 things that 'bug you' and elaborate if you care to. I did a layout about this for my 'BOOK OF ME' a few years ago, and it's funny when I look at this layout now.. not much has changed... although I can think of a few more things to add to my list... How about you?

1. People who don't look you in the eye when they talk to you.
2. Mean, self centered people.
3. Cooking dinner for the family and then having the kids call to say they're eating at friends.
4. People who feel they have to use a cuss word in each sentence.
5. Children who aren't taught manners.. like saying please and thank you.
6. Parents who show no interest in their children's activities. Especially kids who play sports and they never have a parent to come cheer them on.
7. Liars and two faced people.
8. Being Late... my husband can NEVER get anywhere on time! I always have to tell him the event starts 1 hour prior to the real time or we'll be late.
9. Hypocrites.. people who claim they are Christians and do nothing but gossip, backstab and say hateful things about people.
10. Racism and Predjudice.

New Music from Garth and The Bachelor

Garth Brooks and me.. Oct 2004

Now.. here's what I'm totally excited about. Tomorrow the re-released "Lost Sessions" CD comes out at Walmart! It will have 6 new songs added to the 11 that were just released in November with the box set. Garth and Trisha's new duet "Love Will Always Win" is on this CD. Trisha's re-releasing Jasper County as well to add this new duet on the CD.

I'm addicted to this show! Travis is one good looking man.. and seems to be a really nice guy. Can't wait for tonight's episode.. we'll see how his hometown dates go with the 4 left standing. I really like Susan. Sara from Tenn is a possibility too. Muana makes my skin crawl! Gosh I hope he doesn't end up with her!

**update 2/7/06** I can't believe he chose Muana!! UGH! I'm thinking he is going to end up with Sara from TN. Up to last night I liked Susan the best and then Sara from TN. Now I'm not
so sure about Susan and her intentions..

Busy Weekend..

Trying to catch up on the weekend's events. I'm a day or two behind in blogging and didn't get a single scrapbooking page done. Didn't even have time to touch it. My daughter is in ROTC and is on the drill team and color guard for our ROTC unit at the high school.

Friday night was sleepover night at the gym for the ROTC competition. We always sleep over the night before so all the cadets are ready; uniforms must be perfect, shoes shined, routines perfected. We always have a great time. I'm so lucky to have such a great group of parents on the booster club that helps support our kids.

Saturday morning, we headed to USF for the Battle of The Bulls challange. We placed 4th overall out of 18 high schools and took 1st place for the Color Guard! This was the first time we've ever won first place in Color Guard. What a great accomplishment. The four cadets (including Kristina DD) were all new to the competition Color Guard team. They placed 6th overall two weeks ago with one week of practicing their routine together. Well two more weeks of practicing everyday and they took home the 1st place trophy! After only getting 3 hours of sleep Friday night, I came home from the competition on Saturday and was exhausted. My SIL decided to come over for a visit and stay the night. Ending up not being able to go to bed as early as I would have liked.

Sunday we went to Sunday School and Church. I hadn't been to church yet this year. I was sick the entire month of January with that cold and flu going around. It was great to see all my friends...I had missed them! Anyway.. we went to our friends house tonight to watch the Superbowl and then came home only to have to get my DH out the door for work. I'm going to head to bed here soon but wanted to catch up at my scrapping boards and blog.

Tomorrow my goal is to get 2 lo's completed. Wish me luck!

Finished a Lay Out!

I did it!! I finished a LO tonight!

I actually like it! I've been searching for that right photo to scrap and started with one of my favorite pictures of Kristina (DD). The photo was taken on Mother's Day 2003 at our weekend trip to Disney World.

Kristina inspires me. She's a breathe of fresh air. She is such a happy person and she loves life.

I wanted to put something special on the page, so I printed out the lyrics to "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womak. I'm going to take a photo of my LO tomorrow and I'll post it here. It's late.. and I'm going to bed.

Yea Me!!

Welcome To My Mumbling Ground!

Well, it's Tuesday, February 1 and where the heck did January go?

I've been sick the entire month of January with that dang head cold that's going around. Finally starting to feel better! I decided about 3 weeks ago to forge ahead with my scrapbooking that I've been putting off for 3 years! I 've been sorting and organizing 20 years worth of pictures. Found some great message boards to read and get ideas from.

Scrapping is one creative craft. It amazes me at the beauty, ideas, and imagination that scrappers put with their cherished photos. I'm so excited to get an album done! I'm going to start with my son Eric... then move to Kristina.

Need to get dinner started. Will finish up a bit later tonight.
